What we collect, and why.
We collect the bare minimum we need to take your order, ship it, and tell you when it’s on its way. Here’s the full picture.
1. The data controller

2. What we collect
When you place an order or create an account, we collect:
- Identity & contact — name, email, phone
- Address — shipping address(es), PIN
- Order — items, prices, payment method, status, GST invoice records
- Account — password (hashed, never stored in clear), saved addresses, wishlist, your own reviews
- Technical — IP, browser, basic page-view counts (no third-party trackers)
We don't store your card number, CVV or UPI PIN. Payments are processed by Razorpay, which handles those directly.
3. Why we use it
- To take your order, ship it, and provide customer service.
- To issue a GST-compliant tax invoice and meet statutory record-keeping requirements.
- To send transactional emails (order placed, shipped, delivered) — these are not marketing.
- To send marketing emails only if you signed up to The Despatch List. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To detect fraud and abuse of the site.
6. How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are retained for at least 8 years as required by GST law. Account data is retained while your account is open. If you ask us to close your account, we anonymise personal data and keep only the invoice record (legal obligation).
7. Your rights
You can:
- Ask for a copy of your data — write to privacy@liminoid.in
- Correct anything that's wrong (you can also edit most of it in your account)
- Ask us to delete your account (subject to the legal retention above)
- Withdraw marketing consent at any time via the unsubscribe link
- Complain to the data-protection authority under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
We aim to respond to any request within 14 days.
8. Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed with industry-standard algorithms. Payment processing is handled by Razorpay (PCI-DSS compliant). We store as little payment data as possible.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we'll post the updated policy here and, where required, email account holders.
